NEW FALL COLLECTION "Layers of Earth" 2024

The collection includes four original paintings with associated art prints in limited editions.

During the creation of the collection "Layers of Earth" (Lager av Jord) I took my inspiration from the autumn colors and shifts but with also with a lot of imagination of dream-like, almost magical places. The paintings show dreamlike nature as a reminder of the healing power that nature provides. With natural elements you can find details of rushing mountain streams and birds that reappear in the paintings and that make the paintings weave into each other like they all belong together.

In the paintings, I have used pigments from stones, ash and coal that I have collected and mortared, sieved and mortared some more to produce a sufficiently fine pigment powder. I have also used other natural pigments that I received or bought from stores such as; green earth, copper pigment, green umber and yellow and red ochre. In addition to the earth pigments, I have also painted with thin layers of acrylic paints.

The art prints have a limited edition of 30 copies of each motif in three different sizes. The edition you get is based on the order in which you bought your print. Signed, numbered and stamped with an embossing press.

The original paintings have a plant-based varnish and a certificate of authenticity is always included.
