Original painting "New Moon's Sickle"

ABOUT THE PAINTING
The painting is a tribute to Västerbotten's landscape animal the Storspoven, which ushers in spring with its beautiful drill. The painting has been given the title "Nymånens skära" after the Latin name of the stork, which means new moon due to the shape of the curved beak. In the painting, I have used my own pigments from stones and also picked birch leaves that I handprinted on the canvas.

• Size 100x80 cm
• Painted on linen canvas that is treated with a transparent primer to preserve the raw, natural surface and texture of the canvas.
• Hang on the back
• Signed on front and back
• Certificate of authenticity is included with a description of all colors and pigments included
• Finished with a silk matt varnish that protects the painting against UV rays and strengthens and preserves the colors

Painted with:
- Green soil, stone
- Coal and ash
- Acrylic paints
- Details with acrylic pencils and oil pastels
- Birch leaves have been picked and printed on the canvas
