ABOUT THE PAINTING

During the painting of the painting "Forest Symbiosis" I have started from forests where hanging lichens drape the trees - Old and primeval forests. Hanging lichens were what particularly fascinated me.

In the painting, I have started from a place here in Västerbotten that I visited last winter called Kalvträsk, a small town in Skellefteå municipality where the Vitberget nature reserve is located with its primeval forest areas.

I have painted from tree trunks that I photographed from the site, printed pine branches directly on the painting and used the ashes in the wood stove from the cabin we lived in which I created pigments from and which are now in the painting.

• Size 100x80 cm
• Painted on cotton canvas that is treated with a transparent primer to preserve the raw, natural surface and texture of the canvas.
• Hang on the back
• Signed on front and back
• Certificate of authenticity is included with a description of all colors and pigments included
• Finished with a silk matt varnish that protects the painting against UV rays and strengthens and preserves the colors

Painted with:
- Green soil, stone
- Coal and ash
- Acrylic paints
- Details with acrylic pencils and oil pastels
- Pine twigs have been picked and printed on the canvas

 Keep in mind that all computer monitors display color differently, so your painting may differ slightly in color from the image you see on your screen. I try to edit the image as close to the original as possible. If you want more pictures, just send a message.
